This web portal was developed to promote rural tourism in Nepal, specially homestay eco-tourism. Today, many people in rural areas rely on subsistence agriculture, and the rural tourism for them can be a new opportunity. A rural area is a place for Nepal’s most of the poor population.
We believe homestay ecotourism in rural villages can create new social and economic opportunities to the rural poor. So, we developed Nepal Rural Tourism web portal aiming to help rural poverty reduction through homestay program.
We thank our UN Online Volunteers ( Kristy Dixon, Michaela Maxwell, Srijana Sapkota) for their contribution to developing this web portal. PFPA accept online as well as on-site volunteers. If you would like to learn more, please visit volunteering page.
